Asian Cabbage and Pork Skillet

This recipe is similar to a couple of keto recipes floating around out there, but the cilantro, mushrooms, and green onions really give this dish a boost!

  • 2 lbs ground pork
  • 2 Tbsp ghee, divided
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth  
  • 1 red onion, small diced  
  • 1 small head green cabbage, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup mined ginger
  • 1/2 cup coconut aminos
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 2 cups shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 bunch green onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat a large skillet and add 1 tbsp ghee and pork. Brown pork and add onion, garlic, ginger and stir to combine.
  2. Next add coconut aminos, rice vinegar and cabbage. Cook for a few min until cabbage is wilted and add stir in cilantro. Transfer mixture to a casserole dish and set aside
  3. Return skillet to the heat and add ghee. Once ghee has melted add the shiitake mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. Cook until done. Deglaze the pan with broth and top pork mixture with mushrooms. Garnish with green onion and serve.
